Not sure if there is a worse feeling than arriving at your destination after a long flight and your bags aren’t there waiting for you. Then you have to wait around the airport while the airline figures things out.
It happens to the best of us—even PGA Tour winner Viktor Hovland.
The Hero World Challenge champion arrived in Hawaii on December 29, and to his surprise, his sticks didn’t make the trip. It’s funny to imagine a PGA Tour pro needing a rental set when checking in at the Plantation Course. On Tuesday, Hovland took to his Instagram story to voice his displeasure with Delta airlines.
Luckily for the Ryder Cupper, his clubs arrived on Wednesday just in time to finally prep for the Sentry Tournament of Champions. Unlucky for him, his sticks arrived in pieces.
If you remember, this isn’t the first time Hovland will start the week without his own big stick. Before eventually winning in Mayakoba a few months ago, Danny Lee snapped Hovland’s driver on the range.
So, maybe this is a good omen?
And hey, at least it wasn’t one of those massive robber crabs doing the damage.
