Nzoia Sugar finally fire absent without leave coach Ibrahim Shikanda, set to promote assistant

FKF Premier League (FKF-PL) side Nzoia Sugar FC have finally confirmed the departure of erstwhile head coach Ibrahim Shikanda who absconded team duties in the last one week. The youthful tactician went AWOL seven days ago before his team’s league match against KCB, a match that they went on to register a two-all draw against the Bankers despite trailing 2-0 at some point. He was also missing on Wednesday when his team held Gor Mahia to a one-all draw at the Sudi Stadium in Bungoma. The club says it is now aware of his whereabouts and has now made a decision to part ways with the former Nairobi Stima and Bungoma SuperStars head coach. Nzoia chairman Evans Kadenge has confirmed the move. “I can confirm that we have parted ways with coach Ibrahim Shikanda after he abandoned duty, we have written him a letter confirming the termination of his services. We are not aware of his whereabouts because he just vanished a day before we played KCB, he has not told us what his plans are and we have now decided to move on because this is a clear case of insubordination on his part, “Kadenge stated. The impeccable Sudi Stadium turf.
