Former Tusker FC tactician Paul Nkata has landed another job as the new head coach for Uganda’s third-tier side, Masaka City FC, according to a Ugandan publication.Nkata, who has vast experience having had stints in different Kenyan top-tier clubs will be in charge of the Masaka-based side until the end of the season.The 61-year-old tactician has been out of coaching action for more than two years since his last managerial stint at Uganda Premier League side, Mbarara City in November 2019.Masaka City Football Club Bus @DaLostBrazilian @BenMisagga the city is coming pic.twitter.com/CxMwqZ22Na— bwanikaderrick (@bwanikaderrick) October 12, 2021 He won the Premier League and the GoTV Shield with Tusker in 2016 as the Brewers completed the season with a double, before ditching them in a shocking move to Bandari.He had joined Tusker from Muhoroni Youth the same year, steering victory to break Gor Mahia’s title-winning streak.Kakamega Homeboyz came calling later and appointed him as the head coach in May 2018, before suspending him in January the following year for alleged match-fixing, with some quotas claiming that he fled the country for Uganda.FIFA has dismissed all charges against coach Paul Nkata in the matter they investigated on for allegedly getting involved in unlawful influencing of match results when he was in charge of Kakamega Homeboyz pic.twitter.com/rHCusu7IiP— Ole Teya (@Kevin_teya) February 7, 2020 He was however absolved from the claims by the global football body, FIFA.Previously, he also managed the now-defunct Kiira Young, Villa Joog, and URA FC in Uganda, and Nairobi City Stars, Muhoroni Youth, Tusker, Bandari, and Kakamega Homeboyz in Kenya.His first game in charge will be against Kiwanga United FC in the Buganda regional league on January, 9th 2022.
