Maybe Richard Arnold will be the Chief Executive Officer from February 1, after the former marketing director took the reigns from his pal Ed Woodward, but Cristiano Ronaldo is not impressed at all. The Portuguese is ready to quit Manchester United (already?) in June if Arnold and Ralf Rangnick don’t get the manager he likes. And speaking of managers, Ronaldo is not so thrilled with Rangnick. Not he, and nor the other players too. With or without Rangnick, United dressing room is toxicSo, Arnold, who will lead the search for the new coach, with Rangnick as the ‘Senior Football Advisor’ behind him is already under pressure. Since the search began under Woodward, Mauricio Pochettino, Erik Ten Hag, and Brendan Rodgers were all under consideration as Arnold looks to appoint someone capable of returning United to the top of English football once again. And so far, Daily Star and Mirror, who first brought up the story, are not sure if Ronaldo is keen on any of them. The Portuguese has so far been the savior for Manchester in many games (and scored 14 goals in 21 games), but also many believe that his presence in the team is also damaging for the tactics and for some of the younger players (Greenwood, Sancho). “He thought it would be better than this. He’s a born winner and wants to be winning more trophies, so who the next manager turns out to be will help him decide his next move” a source told the Star. And now he doesn’t fancy Rangnick and will look who will they appoint in June.
