Gor Mahia Branches convene meeting to agitate for Special General Meeting (SGM)

Fifty-one branches allied to record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia are agitating for a meeting with the Executive Committee to discuss the alarmingly deteriorating performances at the club.The meeting is penciled for later dates of January 2022 with a view of forcing K’Ogalo’s four-person Executive Committee comprised of chairman Ambrose Rachier, vice chairman Francis Wasuna, secretary Sam Ocholla and treasurer Dolphina Odhiambo to call for a Special General Meeting (SGM).The Branches are keeping confidential details of the agenda to be discussed when the EC yields to their request.Gor Mahia are currently going through a turbulent time with constant delay in salary payments, inconsistent attendance to trainings and willful boycott of games by disgruntled players.Head coach Mark Harrison left for his home country England and is yet to return and certain players are forcing moves away from the club. Gor Mahia have only won twice in their last ten games and risk falling further behind should their issues fail to be resolved in time.Already some players have bolted leaving K’Ogalo light on personnel and unable to beef up. Benson Omala and Ernest Wendo are said to have left the club and have neither attended training nor showed up for the team’s last two fixtures.
