Aussems calls on Ingwe management to fix current players issues, looking to beef up squad

AFC Leopards tactician Patrick Aussems wants the club’s management to fix issues surrounding the current players first before they delve into the transfer market in the January Window.Following a mass exodus at the club prior to the start of the current campaign that saw Ingwe’s top three scorers last season all depart, and with a FIFA transfer ban in place then, the team was forced to turn to their cubs mostly.5 games unbeaten,1st win in 2022 and a young team who gain experience despite a very complicated situation!Happy for them but disappointed to see Nyayo so empty! If you are an Ingwe’s fan, come to support your team! They deserve it! They build the futur’s success of the club! 🙏 pic.twitter.com/uD2T6Xhlpw— Patrick Aussems (@PatrickAussems) January 5, 2022 Aussems, who has had to make do with a makeshift team for the better part of the season so far, acknowledged that they would be on the lookout for two or three players, specifically with a striker included among the new faces, but maintained that it would be prudent of the club management to resolve issues affecting the current players first.”I would like two or three players and I have already told the management and now it is up to them. First of all, I think they need to fix the issue of the current players and if those are fixed maybe we will think of a striker. If we do not bring a striker we will have problems all the season. Imagine if something happens to Kingsley (Fasanmi) or Maxwell (Otieno), we are in trouble. Maxwell was with the B team last season and now he is one of our key players,” Aussems said. The Belgian’s comments are a retaliation of similar remarks he made in November when the league had been suspended when he revealed a myriad of challenges the team was going through at the moment with those supposed to be at their rescue seemingly abandoning them while displaying a ‘lack of professionalism’ and being ‘careless’.The technical bench, the staff and the players are facing many challenges (no salaries,no allowances, daily issues…) which prevent the group from working properly. Carelessness of some people?Lack of professionnalism? Hopefully this situation will be fixed as quickly as possible. pic.twitter.com/4sSC21pMZY— Patrick Aussems (@PatrickAussems) November 21, 2021 AFC Leopards have struggled in front of goal this season, managing to only score nine goals in the 13 matches that they have played, with two of the players who contributed in the first two goals no longer being part of the team. The Belgian confirmed that Saad Musa, who scored in their first game of the season against Tusker, had left the team to chase a European move, while Isaac Kipyegon, who scored in their 2-1 loss to Bandari, joined Tusker FC earlier.
