Nzoia Sugar skipper Peter Gin Juma has rued missed chances in their FKF Premier League one-all draw against AFC Leopards at Nyayo National Stadium last weekend. The team managed to hold the 12-time champions away from home, picking a point on the road and were even on course to pick all three points having taken the lead in the eighth minute through Kevin Juma only for Leopards to level the scores 25 minutes late through Eugene Mukangula. The player-turned trainer termed the match a challenging one but reveled at picking one point against Leopards.According to Gin, the Millers would have grabbed victory had they been a little more clinical and converted most of the chances that they had in the game”It was challenging but in the end, we managed a point. We got our chances and used one and they also did the same but I hope next time we will utilize most of the chances we will get and by doing that we will get all three points. If we used all the chances we got in the first half, we would have scored at least two more goals but that is football and we learn from our mistakes. We are happy with the one point on the road,” he said.Gin recently retired from active football and took up the trainer role at the club he has served for a decade through ups and downs.Meanwhile, the team is yet to hire a new head coach after the departure of Ibrahim Shikanda who vanished from the club citing frustrations, prompting Nzoia to move on and replace him.Since the departure of Shikanda, the team has not lost a match, recording three back-to-back draws against KCB, Gor Mahia, and recently AFC Leopards.Up next is a match against troubled Wazito FC at Nairobi on Sunday.
