Kenyan international Michael Olunga extended his purple patch for Al Duhail by netting his 16th goal of the season in the 4-2 win over Al-Gharafa in the Qatar Stars League (QSL) on Thursday 13 January. It only took 14 minutes for Al Duhail to break the deadlock through Brazilian forward Edmilson Junior who had time and space inside the 18-yard box to chest the ball and fire in the ball.Olunga who was fresh from scoring a brace in the 2-0 win over Al Arabi extended his hot goalscoring form by netting in the second for Al Duhail, just two minutes after the resumption of the second half.The goal come after Edmilson Junior floated in a cross that was scooped home by the outstretched boot of Olunga despite having defenders tightly marking him.Duhail put the game to bed in the 56th minute when skipper Ali Almoez fired in the third goal after he was put through on goal by Luiz to nestle the bottom right corner of the net. Rabih Boussafi scored in the 98th minute to ensure the three points for Duhail as they pipped Al Sadd to reclaim top spot despite the latter playing three games less.
