Egypt’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign sees their first victory – after the defeat to Nigeria, the Pharaohs defeated Guinea-Bissau 1-0 at Stade Omnisport Roumdé Adjia. A run of five matches in which the ‘Pharaohs’ had failed to win within 90 minutes has finally ended.The two sides entered this encounter without a single goal in eight matches. However, after a VAR check, he was adjudged to have fouled the defender.In the final moments, Moreto Cassamá hit a thunderous strike but Mohamed El-Shenawy was equal to it as Egypt secured a win that should give them confidence. The victory sees them overtake their today’s opponents to go second in Group D.
