Odhiambo plotting Bidco’s downfall to close in on leading pack

Sofapaka head coach Ken Odhiambo is looking forward to bouncing back to winning ways when they come up against Bidco United at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The former Bandari FC coach believes that grabbing a win in this game will get the team their mojo back after suffering defeat in their last match against Bandari FC at Wundanyi after going for six matches without defeat.Posta Rangers and Ulinzi Stars get the weekend fixtures underway when they clash at Utalii on Friday 14 January 2022. We have our set goals for the year and we want to give our all in every match. Bidco tie is so important for us because a win will push us within the top five [seven] teams on the log and steer our title chase,” Odhiambo told the club’s portal. The two teams played to two barren draws in both of their encounters last season and Odhiambo understands the caliber of opponent they will be up against, more so with Bidco coming on the back of a win against KCB.“Playing away is always not an easy task. We are facing a side that is from a morale-boosting win over KCB. However, we are in need to get back to winning ways. Having drawn twice in our two meetings last season, it will definitely be a tough match but we are well prepared,” he added.👊Ready for the challenge tomorrow@betikaKe@oyandoronny#BatotoBaMungu pic.twitter.com/FjLXdp7lEu— Sofapaka FC (@FC_Sofapaka) January 15, 2022 Odhiambo confirmed that they have been dealt a fresh injury concern with Alex Imbusia most likely to miss the match with a foot injury while at the same time reveling at the return of David Otieno who had missed the trip to Nakuru.“We have everyone fit and available for selection though we have a new injury concern in Alex Imbusia who has sustained a foot injury while we are glad to have David Otieno back who missed Nakuru trip due to mouth injury,” he finished
