After roping in Job Ochieng and David ‘Messi’ Owino, Kenya Police FC head coach John Bobby Ogolla has lauded the quality of the new arrivals as a big boost to the team. The Law Enforces have continued with their spending spree in the mid-season transfer window having confirmed the signings of Eric Juma, Job Ochieng and David ‘Messi’ Owino. It’s a draw @kenyapolicefc 0-0 @UlinziStarsFC pic.twitter.com/jKj7vUpjzF— KENYA POLICE FC (@kenyapolicefc) January 19, 2022 Ogolla revealed that Owino will bolster their options at left-back and is expected to get straight into the starting lineup and termed Job Ochieng as a quality custodian. “Job is a very good goalkeeper and on the left-back, we did not have a lot of backup options if we got an injury we would have been in big problems, the two signings will really boost the team,” said Ogolla. Owino joins from KCB where he was deemed surplus to requirements after the signing of James Mazembe who took over the left wingback role that he occupied towards the latter stages of last season. Ochieng ditches struggling Mathare United while Juma ended his 17-year association with Kariobangi Sharks where he was entrusted with the armband. Ogolla was however coy on possible future transfers despite Paul Were training with the side while Francis Kahata was also spotted in training.
