Posta Rangers have beefed up their defence after acquiring long serving Kariobangi Sharks centre back Geoffrey Shiveka on a two-year long deal. Shiveka put ink to paper on Tuesday after successful negotiations with Rangers boss who took advantage of the player’s stalled move to Kenya Police and lured him to their side.He was on the verge of joining the league debutants who have been active in the midseason but the deal fell hit a snag at the eleventh hour despite being said to have had medical tests done ready to join them.Posta Rangers have acquired Geoffrey Shiveka from Kariobangi Sharks on a two-season long contract. The club is also likely to lose the sulking Patrick Otieno who is under the radar of Rangers, Bandari and Nairobi City Stars.Shiveka will battle for playing time with the trio of Kennedy Owino, David Ochieng and Suleiman Ngotho. Coach Stanley Okumbi has been pairing Owino and Ochieng at the heart of the defence this season with Bernard Ondiek, a natural midfielder providing options.
