Watford announced the signing of Bordeaux’s Nigerian winger Samuel Kalu on a three-and-a-half-year contract. The news comes just a day after the Hornets appointed veteran manager Roy Hodgson to help them stave off relegation from the Premier League.The 24-year-old winger has been on the English club’s radar for some time, even though an official offer to the French club has never been made until now. After moving to Slovakian side Trencin as a 19-year-old, Kalu made quick progress and joined Belgian club KAA Gent just a year later.
