Veteran AFC Leopards and Harambee Stars number one football fan Isaac Juma has died, Mozzart Sport can confirm.On Thursday morning, the country woke up to the sombre news of the passing on of the diehard football lover who was attacked by machete wielding gangsters at his home in Mumias, Kakamega with his body already moved to St. Mary’s Mission Hospital mortuary.“Juma was hacked to death by unknown assailants at his Bukaya rural home in Mumias,” Mumias West OCPD Stephen Muoni confirmed.🕯| Our thoughts and prayers go out to the friends, family and associates of veteran football fan Isaac Juma who we can confirm passed on yesterday night.#RIPJuma pic.twitter.com/KkDURDAoF0— Mozzart Sport Kenya (@MozzartSportKe) January 27, 2022 According to his sister Caroline Auma, Juma’s death was due to a land tussle between him and the elder sister.”Two people stormed into our home at around 9 PM EAT on Thursday and hacked him to death. There has been a tussle over this land that we have occupied since we were born. The land documents are currently in Juma’s name and that doesn’t sit well with the elder sister. Her son has openly threatened to kill Juma in the past and they have had several altercations over the land (around six acres) in the past,” Auma told Mozzart Sport,”We identified the nephew as one of the attackers and he is currently in custody. We are currently finalising on reporting the matter here at the police station then we will know what next.
