Bandari FC head coach Andre Casa Mbungo has admitted that they need to beef up the squad and that they will be making signings during this mid-season transfer window. With just two wins in their last ten games, the Dockers, who many anticipated would challenge for the league title this season are struggling and are probably in dire need of some fresh additions to their squad. The team has particularly had issues with scoring goals and have found the back of the net just 17 times in their last 15 games. Their forwards’ misfiring has been largely to blame for the rough patch that the Mombasa-based team is currently going through.Asked whether they will make any acquisitions during this window, Mbungo said that they will be looking to beef up the team and that he will do that in consultation with other members of the technical bench. He added that they will be bringing in a player (s) who will improve the team. It’s a late Equlizer from @wazitofc Full Time Wazito FC 1-1 Bandari FC. pic.twitter.com/CGVwUESiFe— Max (@BettKMax) January 24, 2022 “We definitely need to boost the team. The goal is to always try and improve the team and make it better and more competitive and we will definitely make signings. I will sit down with my bench and decide on how to approach the transfers, “he stated.Pressed further on areas that he believes need strengthening, the former AFC Leopards coach said his team is in dire need of an additional winger and that they will be bringing onboard one.”Right now I can say that we need a winger. That’s an area that I believe we need to boost. We will try to bring on board a player who will compete,” he added.Next for the Dockers is a rescheduled league match against Tusker on 2nd February.
