Muyoti cautions City Stars against conceding first

Nairobi City Stars coach Nicholas Muyoti has urged his side to kill games as soon as they can to avoid being in situations where they concede first and have to find their back into the game following back-to-back draws in a similar manner against Kakamega Homeboyz. While he was delighted with his teams fighting spirit in both legs, Muyoti was not happy with having to fight back to salvage a point, noting that it will not always be the case in matches.👀 | Eyes on the prize! #CityStars #Salim #PhotoOfTheDay pic.twitter.com/WEXde5TXfJ— Official Nairobi City Stars Fc (@NrbCityStars) January 27, 2022 The tactician implored his charges to take their chances early enough while at the same time enhancing their defending to ensure that they win matches outrightly.”The mentality is very good but I am also worried that it was the second time we were finding ourselves in that situation and it should be happening that way. If we can convert our chances and defend well I think it can be okay because we do not have to be finding ourselves in these situations because it is not always that we will be coming back. At times it will be difficult. So I just urge my boys that we ensure we win the game as early as possible,” Muyoti said.In the two back-to-back matches against Kakamega Homeboyz, Nairobi City Stars found themselves trailing in both games and had to come from behind to salvage a point in both.Full Time:Nairobi City Stars 1-1 Kakamega HomeboyzMasha 73’ pic.twitter.com/OdDl3hacc6— Kakamega Homeboyz FC (@FcHomeboyz) January 24, 2022 This season, Nairobi City Stars have not won a match in which they conceded first, falling to Sofapaka in their opening match of the season and to Kariobangi Sharks, KCB, and AFC Leopards later, and picking draws against Posta Rangers and the two against Kakamega Homeboyz.Up next for the Kawangware-based side is a clash against Kariobangi Sharks on February 5, 2021.
