Aussems welcomes rest before next clash against Bidco

With a compacted fixture schedule being a normal occurrence this season, AFC Leopards head coach Patrick Aussems has welcomed the break before their clash against Bidco United. According to the Kenyan football calendar, teams were to participate in the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Cup last weekend but no communication about the commencement of the tournament has been issued. 👀 pic.twitter.com/e17QIFrdpP— AFC Leopards (@AFCLeopards) January 26, 2022 Aussems welcomed the break handed to the team before their clash against Bidco United which he noted will bring some freshness to the squad. “Our next game will be on February 5th against Bidco and we have a bit of time to prepare for the game since our last game.We will keep working of course but we need to keep some freshness within our squad so the players need a bit of rest,” said Aussems.Ingwe have had a thin squad this season with most of their options on the bench being academy players but those trusted have given a good account of themselves. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT We will be HOSTING Bidco United in our next FKF-PL fixtureDate and venue to be announced #Betsafe #OursForever #YaMatere pic.twitter.com/7ueUbyQAQ3— AFC Leopards (@AFCLeopards) January 24, 2022 Aussems noted that he has had to overutilize 13 players in the squad with the limited experienced options but the whole squad will now recuperate. “We have usually played with 12 or 13 players mostly this season so it’s time to think about a rest because it’s always the same players in the pitch,” added Aussems.
