Obure: Kamau will change Mathare’s fortunes around

Mathare United CEO Jecton Obure is confident that newly appointed head coach John Kamau will change the team’s fortunes for the better as they are currently in the relegation zone.Kamau, a former Wazito FC assistant coach was unveiled as the new Slum Boys head coach on Monday afternoon. He will be assisted by Francis Xavier and Julius Mativo while Sam Koko will train the keepers.“Mathare United is delighted to announce the appointment of John Kamau as head coach until the end of the season. A vastly experienced coach, Kamau has held coaching roles in the Premier League with Thika United, Posta Rangers, and Wazito. He has also coached the Kenyan U20 national team as well as served as an assistant to the Harambee Stars squad that claimed the 2017 CECAFA Senior Challenge title. He is determined and understands the task at hand.
