We wish him a speedy recovery,” the club announced on 27th November. It is now emerging that the player could sit out for the remainder of the current season in what will be a major blow for Homeboyz’s title push. Mwalala has revealed that the player will not be back at the training ground anytime soon as he is yet to fully recover and he also does not expect him to feature against this season.“I do not think that he will play again this season. He underwent a delicate procedure and he will need time to recover fully before we can even think of him resuming training let alone playing. We are going to give him all the time that he needs to recover and that means that the defensive midfielders in the team will have to step up to fill the void because as you know he had set the bar so high, he was a key player for us.” Mwalala told Mozzart Sport. The tactician also disclosed that they could sign another defensive midfielder before the window closes.“I think we need more player, a defensive midfielder and we will call it a day. That is a position that we need to reinforce. We also have a number of young players who have not been playing and we want them to develop and so we are looking for a way to secure loan moves for them so that they can go out there and play more which is essential for their growth,” he added.Homeboyz take on Nzoia Sugar FC on Sunday.
