Kenya U23 forward issues come-get-me plea to suitors

KCB winger Curtis Wekesa has confirmed that he has left the club after the expiry of his one-year contract and is open to new offers.The speedy winger has been with the Bankers for the last one year and his contract with the Zedekiah Otieno coached side expired at the end of January. He is now seeking a new challenge and has invited offers from interested clubs.”I can confirm that I have officially left KCB after the expiry of my contract. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and I want to thank the club, the technical bench, fellow players and the management for support that they accorded me during my time there. I am in good shape and ready to play and I hope that I will soon get a team and return to competitive football, The goal is to hit top form again and help my new club perform well in the league.” He added.Wekesa, who can play on either flank or as a number 10 started out at Sony Sugar FC before moving to Nairobi Stima. The 2019 season was his best with Stima as he scored over 13 goals and registered 11 assists. This prompted Gor Mahia to swoop for his services.His stay at Gor Mahia was however disastrous as he picked a major knee injury immediately after he signed and required surgery that kept him out for a year. After recovering fully, he joined the KCB.Wekesa has turned out for the Kenya U23 National team.
