It was a mauling for Les Dogues at their own ground. Lille were no match for the ruthless expedition from Paris – stars scored, one of the goalkeepers made mistakes and it ended in a dominant win of the Saints.A win was a must, sort of, for Mauricio Pochettino’s squad as they were eager to correct their recent away form – three consecutive 1-1 draws ahead of this match. And they were gifted with an early lead, thanks to Croatian goalkeeper Ivo Grbić. After just 10 minutes, Nuno Mendes’ sent a cross which was fumbled by the Lille keeper. The ball ended up with Danilo Pereira who tapped in with ease.In the early stages of the match, Lille were still holding up. Just before the half-hour mark, the home team equalised – showcasing his magician-like dribbling on the wing, Hatem Ben Arfa rolled back the years. He zoomed past Ángel Di María before cutting the ball back to Sven Botman to volley the ball behind Gianluigi Donnarumma. After leveling, Lille looked like the better team but soon after – two clumsly reaction from Lille’s defence which gifted PSG two goals before half time. First, Grbić completely missed the ball when he attempted to punch Lionel Messi’s corner away thus allowing the ball to fall to Presnel Kimpembe. French defender had no problem netting it in from close range.Messi took advantage of a loose clearance at the edge of Lille’s box. The Argentinian snatched the ball and poked it over Grbić. A disastrous first half for the Croation, to say the least.Pochettino’s side grabbed their fourth only six minutes in the second half, and Lady Luck had a say in this one.Danilo Pereira’s tried outside the box, the shot was deflected and the ball flew past Grbic. It was a case of game management for the remaining 40 minutes. Regardless of the three-goal cushion, Kylian Mbappe wanted a piece of the action and he showed his illustrious talent when he sent an incredible curling shot from outside the box to make it 5-1.Paris Saint-Germain extended their unbeaten run in Ligue 1 to 14 games and silenced their critics (following their cup exit earlier in the week) with a dominant display.Saints charge towards their 10th domestic league title while Lille sit in 11th place continuing their disastrous defence of the title.LIGUE 1 – Round 23FridayOlympique de Marseille – Angers SCO 5-2 (2-2)/Milik 18, 70, 78, Gerson 22, Under 85 – Fulgini 8, Bentaleb 12/SaturdaySaint-Etienne – Montpellier 3-1 (0-1)/Hamouma 82, Nordin 90, Khazri 90+2/Monaco – Oympique Lyonnais 2-0 (2-0)/Lucas 2, Ben Yedder 27/SundayLorient – Lens 2-0 (1-0)/Soumano 43, Kone 76/Strasbourg – Nantes 0-0Troyes – Metz 0-0Reims – Bordeaux 5-0 (1-0)/Ekitike 40, Munetski 46, Matusiwa 59, Faes 62, Munetsi 76/Nice – Clermont 0-1 (0-0)/Rashani 77/Rennes – Brest 2-0 (1-0)/Laborde 20, Terrier 90/Lille – PSG 1-5 (1-3)/Botman 28 – Danilo 10, 51, Kimpembe 32, Messi 38, Mbappe 67/***odds are subject to change
