Marcelo still keen on move away from AIK

Kenyan international Erick ‘Marcelo’ Ouma has left the door open for a possible departure from his Swedish side AIK despite most of European leagues having their transfer windows slammed shut. Marcelo is currently in pre-season training with AIK and recently admitted that a host of French clubs are interested in his services following a stellar season last campaign. Doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment.-📸 @joakimhall pic.twitter.com/nHpCycu46r— Erick Ouma (@Erick__ouma) February 5, 2022 The 25-year-old insisted that he still has a number of offers on the table and failed to rule out a move from AIK but noted that he will only leave with the club’s blessings. “Anything can happen in the future. I’m ready to take the next step. There have been a lot of offers, but the club has the last word. I can not demand to leave – they have explained the situation to me and I am happy to be here,” Marcelo told Sportbladet. The former Gor Mahia midfielder was seen by many as the best defender last season having provided five assists and one goal, helping the club to a runner’s up finish and missing the title on goal difference. Enjoy every moment pic.twitter.com/VDAzk1yNBZ— Erick Ouma (@Erick__ouma) February 1, 2022 AIK picked up their first pre-season victory over Degerfors last weekend with Marcelo continuing to improve on his offensive side of the game. “A good match by us, we continue to take steps forward and develop from match to match. My offensive game continues to move forward as well,” added Marcelo.
