‘I will have to control my emotions against Inter’

Nine months after signing a three year deal with Roma, Jose Mourinho will finally return to his beloved club Inter, for the Copa Italia match, before coming to Giuseppe Meazza stadium again for Serie A clash in April. It’s been a long 12 years since the Portuguese ended his two year spell with Inter with a title and a Champions League trophy and now he comes back. To be fair, Mourinho already played in Milan at the same stadium, against arch rivals AC Milan, but even thou the clubs share the same stadium, Inter supporters will say he was at ‘San Siro’ and not ‘Giuseppe Meazza’. 💥 | MATCHDAY ⚽ #InterRoma 🏆 Coppa Italia ⏰ 21:00 CET🏟️ San Siro Stadium#FORZAINTER ⚫🔵Powered by Snaipay pic.twitter.com/gpz2P6k76d— Inter 🏆🇮🇹 (@Inter_en) February 8, 2022 In football language, there is not much to talk about. Inter has a stronger and better squad, and Mourinho can only hope that their (surprise) loss to rivals Milan from last week has shaken his former club well enough to snatch a victory. “I have to think about how to control my emotions because Inter will always be a little mine” the Special One reportedly told his staff members over the last few days while preparing for the match. For this duel, the Portuguese preferred not to hold a press conference. Moaning, whining and ripping his players in public: The old Mourinho is backBefore the match, Mourinho will meet the former Inter president, the famous Massimo Moratti, who admitted that the meeting will be emotional. “I wouldn’t miss Mourinho’s return to San Siro as an opponent for anything in the world. I admit I’ll be a little strange to see him climb the stairs of the locker room and sit on the opponents’ bench. I already know that I will get emotional because I will remember the images of when he was the protagonist with us. At Inter and in Milan, Jose has given many beautiful things that will never be forgotten” said Morrati to Il Corriere dello Sport newspaper. The Coppa Italia is a very important target for us. It must be in the DNA of Inter. Now we’re in the quarter-finals. We always feel at home with our fans. We hope to reward them the qualification” Inzaghi told Sportmediaset.Form is temporary – class is Giroud!
