Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) side, Wazito FC have announced the exit of six players after the closure of the mid-season transfer window on Monday evening.The month-long transfer season came to a close on Monday evening. All teams in the league bar Gor Mahia and Sofapaka who are currently serving a transfer ban beefed up their squads as they seek to perform better than they did in the opening 17 matches of the season.Teams have been busy beefing up their squads in readiness for the second leg. Wazito just like many others have restructured by bringing in new players and letting go of others who were part of the team.Among those who have exited is promising left-back Erickson Mulu who joined the team at the start of the season. Striker Vincent Oburu has joined Zesco United of Zambia and completing the list is young central defender Roland Ashimoto who is now in the books of league newbies, FC Talanta“We can confirm that Erickson Mulu, Kevin Kimani, Eric Gichimu, Cliff Nyakeya, Vincent Oburu and Roland Ashimoto have left the club on mutual consent. We thank them for their service to the club and wish them well in the future,” read a statement from the club.According to CEO Dennis Gicheru, the club has recruited some new players who will be part of the team for the second phase of the season.“We have some new, young exciting players. We will make the signings public in due course,” the administrator stated.Wazito will play Sofapaka on Saturday at Nyayo Stadium.
