Auburn senior Kaleigh Telfer picked up the third individual title of her career on Jan. 30 by starting the spring season with a victory at the Lady Bulldog Invitational, an individuals-only event at the University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Georgia.
Telfer’s bogey-free 67 in the opening round gave her an immediate leg up. After a second-round 74, she won by two shots with her 3-under total.
Telfer didn’t compete with Auburn in the fall but competed in LPGA Q-School, advancing to the second stage. She last won a college tournament at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge in 2020.
“I loved getting back out on the golf course wearing the AU logo again after a couple months,” Telfer said. “I have been playing well at home, so it was really nice to see my game translate to a tournament.”
