Roma are currently seventh in Serie A, six points off the Champions League qualification spot, which was the aim of the club when they victoriously announced Jose Mourinho as their new coach. But things don’t look so rosy as the club crashed out of the Europe and this week from Coppa Italia too. And while it will be good for Roma to concentrate only on Serie A in order to try and get that fourth spot, their performances, the one in Coppa Italia included, are the reason Mourinho is so nervous. Giallorossi lost to current champions Inter 2-0 but only after they failed to convert a couple of chances and the Portuguese went mad after the match.Moaning, whining and ripping his players in public: The old Mourinho is backAccording to Corriere Dello Sport, Mourinho insulted the players, calling them ’men without ba’’s’, and that didn’t went well with some of the players. Complaining about referees and criticizing his players in public has become the trademark of older Mourinho, mostly while at the helm of Manchester United, Tottenham and now Roma. He fell out with both Pogba and Luke Shaw while at the Old Trafford, while he criticized his team in Italy more than once already, and Tuesday was no exception.„I want to know why, playing face to face with Inter, you s*** yourselves in the first 10 minutes. And then I want to know why even against Milan you s*** yourselves 10 minutes in! Everyone, no one excluded. I want to know why for two years you have shown yourselves small against the big sides. If we are small, the referees treat us as small! They treat Rome as a child. Inter are a super team, you had them in front of you and instead of finding the right motivations, you s*** yourself! A man’s biggest flaw is a lack of balls, a lack of personality. Are you afraid of games like this? Then go play in Serie C where you will never find teams with champions, top stadiums, the pressures of great football. You are people without balls. The worst thing for a man!’ said Mourinho in his rant.Roma is an easy prey for the big ones: Dzeko’s quickfire and Sanchez’s projectile send Inter to the semifinalsAfter these, not so kind words, came out of Mourinho’s mouth and into the public space, the online portal of Il Messaggero wrote that players didn’t like that the outburst of the ’Special One’ leaked to the media. Players were curious to know how the conversation, which was between the players and the coach, the only ones present in the dressing room ended up in the media. According to Ill Messaggero, some players are dissatisfied with both the manager’s and the club’s management and would be ready to leave Trigoria at the end of the season in case of better offers. But even Mourinho himself is not sure about staying, so it seems that everybody will decide what to do only when the season finishes and somebody makes the first move.
