Tusker FC have had a spring in their step in recent games after putting their campaign back on track with custodian Patrick Matasi citing teamwork and fighting spirit for their resurgence. The Brewers title defense took a severe hit towards the latter games of the first leg of the season as they battled on the wrong end of the table but look to have regained their groove.Listen to more from Matasi:https://t.co/FljzOOXPeB— 🏆Tusker FC (@tusker_fc) February 11, 2022 Matasi admitted that the team lacked togetherness and fighting spirit earlier but have recovered to go unbeaten in four games against Vihiga Bullets and Bandari.“Teamwork and fighting spirit was a bit lost but now we can see that it is there. We have shown some great form of working together and compactness. Everyone is working and pushing each other from the training ground to matchesWe played back to back matches against Vihiga and got four points. We have now played the same against bandari and got six and this shows that we are building on the momentum. These results give everyone motivation to keep fighting,” said Matasi. With the title challengers this season faltering in recent games, should Tusker continue with their impressive form they could return back to the mix.The former Posta Rangers keeper added their their six points against Bandari were hard earned and has set his sight against Ulinzi Stars who have blown hot and cold this season.Up next is a duel at home against the men from the barracks. #KenyaMilele #Brewers4Life pic.twitter.com/cZ1V8WML2L— 🏆Tusker FC (@tusker_fc) February 10, 2022 “The win against Bandari showed the qualities of a champion. We fought till the end even when the tide was against us and got good results. Now we have another tough similar assignment against Ulinzi Stars and we hope that we will achieve the same result. If we go with the same strategy with concentration and teamwork, I know everything will be okay,” added Matasi.
