Pay players in good time and Kenyan football will rise again – Muguna

2016 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) Most Valuable Player (MVP) Kenneth Muguna has opined that paying players on time would spark the much needed renaissance in Kenyan football. The few ardent local football fans can attest that Kenyan football is on its death bed with a number of clubs enduring financial meltdown and the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) disbanded leaving the sport in disarray.Whaat a build UP!? So I think first they (clubs) need to pay players then the rest of the things will just fall into place,” said the former Western Stima midfielder.Muguna made the switch from Gor Mahia to Tanzanian giants Azam FC in the off season transfer window last year after the club went a number a number of months without settling the dues of players which ultimately led to a mass exodus. Talented in football and music – this is the story of Enock WanyamaThe 26-year-old was coy on comparing the Kenyan and Tanzanian league bit noted that the latter has standards that come close to those in Europe having already have.
