Harun Mwale floated in an inswinger that was spilled by Patrick Matasi creating a goal mouth melee and Ouma headed over the bar.Upon resumption, both teams made a change each with Robert Matano bringing in Jackson Macharia for David Majak as Benjamin Nyangweso introduced Oscar Wamalwa for newboy Antonio Abwao. At the hour mark, Matano made his trademark sub bringing in Humphrey Mieno and Shami Mwinyi for Rodgers Ouma and John Njuguna respectively. Tusker were dealt a blow moments later following the injury of Daniel Sakari who limped off and had his place taken by Isaac Kipyegon. The introduction of the former AFC Leopards man saw Jimmy Mbugua switch to the right and he took the left side of the backline.Macharia was an impact substitution as he slotted home a few minutes after his introduction to give Tusker the leading. He picked up the ball almost near the halfway line and charged towards Ulinzi’s goal in the company of Ibrahim Joshua, slotting past James Saruni to open the scoring.Barely a minute lapsed before Tusker doubled the lead, again from a substitute. Shami Mwinyi danced past Ulinzi Stars defenders, faked a few shots before thundering home the second.Chasing the game and in dire need of energy in the midfield, Nyangweso introduced experienced Churchill Muloma and Masita Masuta for Clinton Omondi and Mark Bikokwa.Despite having a series of corners towards the end of the second half, Ulinzi could not find a consolation and Tusker bagged all the points.Tusker Starting XI: Patrick Matasi, Daniel Sakari, Jimmy Mbugua, Charles Momanyi, Christopher Oruchum, Clyde Senaji, Erick Zakayo, John Njuguna, Rodgers Ouma, David Majak, Ibrahim JoshuaSubs: Michael Wanjala, Isaac Kipyegon, Kalos Kirenge, Wellington Ochieng, Humphrey Mieno, Jackson Macharia, Shami Mwinyi, Shaphan Oyugi, Stewart OmondiUlinzi Stars Starting XI:James Saruni, Brian Birgen, Harun Mwale, Bonaventure Muchika, Kevin Ouma, Bonface Okinyi, Clinton Omondi, John Kago, Mark Bikokwa, Daniel Waweru, Antonio Abwao
