Nzoia Sugar FC head coach Salim Babu was impressed by his charges after they managed to pick a draw against Nairobi City Stars on Sunday at Sudi Stadium in Bungoma County.A late Joseph Mwangi helped Nzoia nick a point after Anthony Kimani had given the visitors a first half lead. The draw also preserved Babu’s unbeaten run in the league, he has managed draws in the two games that he has been in charge of the Bungoma-based Millers. The Millers have just one win to their name this and despite dropping two points against Simba wa Nairobi, the former Sony Sugar, Western Stima and Kisumu All-Stars coach was left impressed by his team’s overall show and believes that they would have won had they taken the chances that they created in the game.“It was a very good game, my players really pushed themselves well in that game. We had good chances in the first half and even more in the second and I think we need to just work more on our finishing. That is an area that let us down yesterday, we had many goal-scoring chances which had we taken we would have won the game comfortably. I am however happy with the boys, they really gave their best and I believe with a little more polishing, they will get better,” he stated.⌛ | The hosts rally back to earn a point in BungomaIt ends level#CityStars #NZONCS#BetterMustCome pic.twitter.com/Yq0421DSQV— Official Nairobi City Stars Fc (@NrbCityStars) February 13, 2022 Nzoia had defensive issues when Babu joined the team and they brought in experienced defender Salim Odeka from Kisumu All-Stars to beef up that department. The tactician now believes that they are in a better shape defensively.“Our backline is stable. That is an area we worked on fixing especially on positioning and shape and I think in the last two games we have done well. What’s left is to sharpen our forward line and we will up and running again, I am confident that we will get out of that danger area soon,” he added.Next for the Millers is an away game against Kariobangi Sharks.
