Kenya Police FC CEO Chris Onguso has challenged AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia after his side broke ground for the construction of their own stadium at their CID Grounds in South C on Monday afternoon.The Police outfit have been on a spending spree this season after they got promoted to the FKF Premier League last season. They have gone a notch higher to begin the construction of their own stadium which is expected to be completed later this year.In an interview, Onguso urged the two Kenyan giants to follow in their footsteps and begin thinking about building their own stadiums. I want them to know that you must not have a lot of money to build your own stadium. It can be done in phases and this should be a challenge to them,” he told the Daily Nation.The football administrator further disclosed that they decided to construct their own facility as hiring the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani is proving to be too expensive.“We spend a lot of money hiring Kasarani for training and matches. Having our own stadium will reduce our spending a lot,” he added.The law enforcers are currently 12th in the FKF Premier League log with 22 points after 18 rounds of league matches. Next for them is a home match against Wazito FC.
