Relegation threatened Migori Youth visit Zoo in National Super League tie

Following a torrid start to the season, Migori Youth who are staring at the possibility of relegation early on in the season, travel to Kericho to face Zoo FC in the National Super League (NSL).The Kericho-based side also had a challenging start to the season after staying months without football action following their expulsion from the Football Kenya Federation Premier League on grounds of match fixing.See you guys Kesho afternoon! #fcukzoo #magicalkericho #NSL pic.twitter.com/qwrl6822n3— Zoo FC (@zoofootballclub) February 15, 2022 Zoo FC defender Alex Onchwari was confident of a victory and noted that the team’s aim is to push further up the table to achieve their promotion target.“We are hoping for three points in today’s game, with a win will break into the top and that will also improve our confidence and give us the motivation to the next games.As a team we have planned well for the game, right now everyone is focused on the game and we know our target is to return to the league and we are fighting to be back in the Premier League,” said Onchwari.They have however turned their season around after registering back to back wins against SS Assad and Mombasa Elite that has pushed them to 10th on the log.Zoo will be hoping to break into the top five with a victory against Migori Youth and resuscitate their hopes of earning promotion at the first time of asking.Migori Youth on the other hand will be out to overwrite their successive losses against promotion chasing Murang’a Seal and Fortune Sacco who currently top the standings.A win for Migori Youth will see them stay within touching distance of SS Assad in the early relegation dogfight but will face a daunting task having only won once all season.
