Zoo dominated early proceedings and finally made their advantage count in the 38th minute when the referee pointed to the spot after a handball by one of the Migori Youth defenders. Sammy Ggolola stepped up to take the spot-kick and held his nerve to convert and hand Zoo a deserved lead heading into the halftime break. The Herman Iswekha-coached side continued to press the foot on the gas in the second half and went close in the opening two minutes through Danson Kiprono but he could not keep his cool as he skied his effort. Zoo finally got their insurance goal in the 63rd minute when Bandi put the ball on a plate for Dennis Ongeri who made no mistake to double their lead nine minutes after coming on.
