Kennedy Ochieng hails Kamau’s impact at Mathare United

Following his appointment at the tail end of January, John Kamau overwrote Mathare United’s 12-game winless run with the tactician guiding the Slum Boys to a 2-0 win over Talanta in his first game in charge. The former Wazito FC assistant coach however suffered a deflating 3-1 loss to log leaders Kakamega Homeboyz in their last clash to suffer his first defeat since his appointment. Defender Kennedy Ochieng has however hailed Kamau’s his impact at the club. 👷🏿‍♂️ | SlumBoys 20/21 NAME: Kennedy OchiengPOSITION: Defender No: 18APPEARANCES: 17GOALS: One ASSISTS: One NICKNAME: Konde Boy Kennedy came to his own this past season with his 18 appearances being the most he has made since joining the club…#SlumBoys2021 pic.twitter.com/rB6Jw8xhGu— Mathare United FC (@MathareUtd) August 27, 2021 Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Ochieng opened up on the impact Kamau has had on the side since his appointment and was confident of freeing themselves from the shackles of relegation. Happy birthday Gor Mahia“Kamau is a very good coach, since he came there has been a big difference in the team and every player can attest that he has brought some changes. Going forward I know that he will be able to turn things around and soon we will be out of the relegation places,” said Ochieng. The Slum Boys sit six points from safety but their wretched goal difference will leave them needing seven points to leapfrog Wazito into 15th on the log.FT: Mathare United 1-3 Kakamega Homeboyz E. His training sessions have also been good, we are hoping that the results can be translated to the pitch soon.” added Ochieng.
