Former Gor Mahia defensive lynchpin Frank Odhiambo who recently completed a move to Swedish outfit Djurgårdens has opened up on the role Michael Olunga played in sealing the transfer. He has been a pillar in making this move.He has taught me many great things about the club, how the fans are great, the philosophy of the club which is growing youngsters just like him when he was young and look at him now, I’m looking to take the same path and even surpass him,” said Frank. The 19-year-old had a breakthrough season with Gor Mahia last campaign winning plaudits from many with his solid defending and carrying the ball forward as he helped Gor Mahia end their decade long wait for the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Cup.Asked why he chose the club, Frank noted that he has been following the club since Olunga made the move back in 2016 and was attracted by their philosophy of naturing young talents.
