Sven Yidah revels in sophomore year with City Stars

Nairobi City Stars defensive midfielder Sven Yidah has expressed his delight at being able to improve his game in his second year at the club compared to his debut campaign last season after joining from Kariobangi Sharks.Having signed a two-year deal back in September 2020, Sven clocked 1,224 minutes and featured in 16 of the 17 games played halfway through the 2020/2021 season. At the time, he had a single goal and an assist to show for the eight games he completed and three that he came off the bench.At the same point this season, the Harambee Stars U23 international has started all seventeen games and has gone on to complete 15 of them on his way to clocking 1,519 minutes out of a possible 1,530. Then I was new and only knew two former Kariobangi Sharks players; Wiki (Wycliffe Otieno) and (Ebrima) Sanneh, as well as Shitu (Salim Abdalla), my former teammate at Ligi Ndogo,”“I had also not worked with anyone in the technical bench as well as in the management team. All those were new challenges and learning processes. He got his second in the thrilling 4-4 draw against current log leaders Kakamega Homeboyz.The Jonathan Jackson=owned side has had a good run this season and are currently second on the log with 32 points from 18 matches, but could drop to third depending on the decision made on the abandoned Gor Mahia and Vihiga Bullets clash.
