Former Kenyan international Sam Okoth is set to take over as Shabana FC head coach, Mozzart Sport can report.The coaching position at Shabana has been vacant for the last month since Robert Ojienda stunned the club management by tendering his resignation. It came a day after his team had lost to Kisumu All-Stars in Kisumu.Since Ojienda’s departure, Shabana has played three games, won one, and lost the other three and the team management has moved to stop the team from further defeats by hiring a seasoned tactician to take over. His first league assignment as Shabana coach will be an away game against Migori Youth on Saturday 26th February.“Sammy is the new Shabana FC head coach. Everything between him and the club management has been agreed upon and he will report for duty tomorrow. He is an experienced coach and the team has full confidence in him to help the team earn promotion to the FKF Premier League,” the source disclosed.Ochieng, a former Harambee Stars attacker is an experienced coach. Among the team is had handled is the now-defunct Sher Karuturi, Zoo FC, and Vihiga United. He also served as an assistant coach at the now-defunct Ushuru FC.
