Neymar: ’I would live to play in MLS, their season is shorter’

PSG fans, rest assured. Neymar will honor his contract with the Parisians (if everything goes according to plan), but he will probably leave after that. The reason is simple: the Brazilian wants to play in another league (or two) before he hangs his boots. Off course, this is the ideal scenario which would mean that Neymar is healthy enough by the time he finishes with PSG and that he is as vital as Messi and Ronaldo, because he will be 34 when his contract expires. But Neymar, being known as a party lover, also has to take into account that factor when he chooses his next destination.#Neymar about his future, and his wish to play in #MLS and return home to #Santos pic.twitter.com/gplSoBZ1Yg— FootballNotified (@FBNotified) February 21, 2022 Speaking for ’Phenomena’ podcast, PSG forward mentioned USA and the MLS league as his next destination, but not for the same reasons as his friend Leo Messi. „I don’t know. I have some doubts about that. I don’t know if I’ll play in Brazil again. I’d love to play in the U.S., actually. I’d love to play there at least for a season. First of all, their season is shorter, so I’d get three months’ vacation. I’d play many more years. I joke with my friends that I will retire when I’m 32. But it’s just a joke. I don’t know. Honestly, I will play until I’m mentally tired. If my mental health is ok and my body as well… Physically, I think I’ll still last a few years. But my mental health is the most important thing. My contract with Paris will last until I’m 34. So I’ll be playing at least until then” revealed Neymar.Cafu: Neymar is technically better than Messi and Ronaldo, but he lacks their level of leadershipOff course, the Brazilian didn’t forget to mention his first club – Santos. Neymar made his football steps in a club from which he signed for Barcelona in 2013, but he plans to come back.”I really want to play for Santos again. What I really miss is playing in the town, my God, that wonderful stadium“ said the Brazilian.(1.37) CHELSEA (5.10) LILLE (10.0)But before all of that, Neymar is looking to win his first World Cup and he would also like to break Pele’s goal scoring national team record in the process. He has scored 70 goals for Brazil, seven shy of Pele.”We will go in search of the World Cup which is what everyone wants. It would be a great honour to be the national team’s greatest scorer and I would be lying if I said I don’t think about it. Of course, that is one of my personal goals. I hope to achieve it. I do hope I can break Pele’s record because he’s an idol for everyone in Brazil” said PSG forward.
