Nzoia Sugar out to complete a double over Sharks

Kariobangi Sharks will be hoping to move to second on the log when they come up against Nzoia Sugar in the early kick-off, of the day as the latter look for their second win of the season at Thika Stadium.Nzoia Sugar, then under the stewardship of Ibrahim Shikanda, won in the reverse fixture, their only win of the season, and will be out to complete a double over the William Muluya men.Ahead of the match, Nzoia’s lead scorer on seven goals Levis Barasa is fancying an opportunity to extend his tally, having netted a hattrick in the first-leg fixture against the same opponent.“The game will be tough but we will try our best to get an away victory because we have already played against them and we know each other as we have learned from each other’s mistakes. I want to get a goal against them after netting a hat-trick in the first leg, the top scorer has nine goals and I have seven so I have to start scoring,” Barasa told Mozzart Sport.🗞️| Our match against @nzoiasugarfc2 will be played at Thika Stadium, 1pm and not at Kasarani Annex as earlier communicated.🤝 @Betway_KE#WeAreSharks #BetwaySharks pic.twitter.com/h7KAs2uvWr— Kariobangi Sharks FC (@k_sharksfc) February 25, 2022 Sharks know they can move to second on the log, at least for a while as they await the result of the other match at the same venue against Nairobi City Stars and Mathare United, and will do their best to record a win.The Kariobangi-based side have been handed a shot in the arm with the return of their lead scorer Felix Oluoch alongside John Omondi but it remains to be seen whether the striker will be up for contention against Nzoia, although he maintains that he is ready.“The break has really helped me, in the last game against Police I had an injury and missed it so the break has really helped me to recover and we have worked on a number of things. I got a knock in the knee in the game against City Stars and did not finish it because I was straining a lot and I was given a 10-day break but now I’m back and in contention for the Nzoia game,” Oluoch said. The match kicks off at 1:00 PM EAT
