AFC Leopards and Vihiga Bullets played out to a dull barren draw in an FKF Premier League match staged at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday afternoon.Leopards had three good chances inside the 20 minutes of the game. The first went Maxwell Otieno’s way in the 4th minute but his connection from a Washington Munene delivery failed to hit the target. Next was Kingsley Olaniyi whose timid shot from inside the penalty area was easily collected by Elix Otieno on Bullets goal. Otieno had another opportunity in the 19th minute but he miscued a great opportunity.Bullets won a couple of set pieces from promising positions but they failed to make them count.Brian Wanyama had a good opportunity from the edge of the area in 35th minute but he shot directly at Otieno on Bullets goal, a moment later a quick break from Bullets resulted in Robert Arrot shooting directly at Levis Opiyo on Ingwe goal.The last chance of the first half went the hosts’ way, Lewis Bandi delivered a good cross in the area, Olaniyi connected but his header went straight into Otieno’s waiting arms.Possession without penetration aarrgghhhh— God’s Child (@yvonnebuluma) February 27, 2022 Bullets had two great chance inside the first ten minutes of the second. Both went Vincent Ogola’s way but he somehow failed to beat Levis Opiyo from prime positions.Ingwe’s first clear cut chance of the second half went Olaniyi’s way in the 65th minute but his header was parried by Otieno.Bullets were slowly growing in the game and in the 68th minute, Nicholas Masamba was denied what looked an imminent goal by Robert Mudenyu who stretched to superbly block his effort. The attacker got another chance in 76th minute but his fine shot was met by an equally fine save from Opiyo.Substitute Philip Muchuma had two chances in quick succession late on the game but Opiyo was equal to the task. The two teams settled for a barren draw in the end.
