After getting his first away point of the season against AFC Leopards on Sunday afternoon at Nyayo Stadium, Vihiga Bullets head coach Juma Abdallah is targeting a fine run at their Bukhungu backyard. The barren-draw against Ingwe, helped the FKF Premier League newbies get their first-ever top-flight point away from home. It is a match that they could have won based on the chances they created late on in the game and Leopards coach Patrick Aussems admitted that they were in fact fortunate to salvage a point form the game. For Juma, the stalemate against the 13-time league champions was an indicator of how far his team has come from. At one point they looked destined for easy relegation but there is hope that they could cheat on the drop despite the fact that they are still rock bottom in the log. Zachary Gathu: Three promotions and a graceful growth out of the gameOne of their plans on how to avoid relegation is to get as many points as possible at home and Juma, says they have to get wins in at least three of their next four matches that will all be played at Bukhungu. Our next four games are all at the Bukhungu Stadium, which is our home ground and the target is go get at least three wins from the four games and I believe that it will ease the relegation fears because I believe that if we manage to pick nine points out of 12, we will come out of that relegation zone,” he stated. On the game against Leopards, the tactician stated that they wanted to pick at least one point from the game and added that they were not too far away from winning.“We wanted to at least get one point away and after that, we will try to make it a norm. In our past games, the players were not too confident when playing away from home but against Leopards, they fought hard and even had chances of winning the game and I want to thank them for the fighting spirit they showed and we need to keep growing,” he added.
