Former Harambee Stars head coach Sebastien Migne has been appointed as Cameroon national team assistant manager and will work under former Indomitable legend, Rigobert Song who was on Monday named the head coach of the five-time African Cup of Nations winners.Migne was in charge of Kenya between 2018 and 2019 and is best remembered for leading Kenya to the African Cup of Nations in 2019 where Kenya existed the tournament in the group stage. He has also coached Congo and Equatorial Guinea national teams and South African club, Marumo Gallants.Former Cameroon National team captain Rigobert Song is the new Indomitable Lions head coach. They finished third at the 2021 African Cup of Nations. Portuguese tactician, Toni Conceição exits paving way for Song who has previously handed the Cameroon U23 team and the national CHAN team.Other notable members of Song’s backroom staff include legends Raymond Kalla and Augustine Simo. The pair will serve as team manager and assistant coach respectively.The new bench’s first assignment will be the world cup qualifiers against Algeria scheduled for later this month. The aggregate winner of the two-legged final phase qualifiers will qualify for the 2022 World Cup that will be staged in Qatar later this year.
