Tusker’s Tanzanian import impressed with first leg achievements

Tusker forward Ibrahim Joshua says he is contended with what he has achieved in the first half of his debut season at Ruaraka, though he admits it wasn’t close to what he had targeted from the start of the campaign. Joshua who came to explain why he likes mimicking the trio of Meddie Kagere, Fiston Mayele and Heritier Makambo in his goal celebrations scored one of the two goals in the 2-0 victory over Sofapaka last Friday, taking his tally for the season to six goals. He also has one assist to his name. I still don’t understand how Ibrahim Joshua is relatively unknown in the Tanzanian football scene. Although it is not what I had initially targeted, I have to be grateful for those that I could achieve. This is a motivator for me to work harder and do better. My target is to keep scoring and increase my numbers at the end of the season,” he told the club website. Why Tusker forward mimics Kagere and Yanga duo in his goal celebrationsRegarding the strides, the team has made in as far as title defence is concerned, the Tanzanian was glad that the team had shaken off the poor start and caught up with the top teams😄| The happiness of returning to full training with the boys. Also back is Senaji, Monyi and Teddy Osok.Daniel Sakari is our only injury absentee as he continues recovery from an ankle sprain.#KenyaMilele #Brewers4Life pic.twitter.com/v2PhuDfgOB— 🏆Tusker FC (@tusker_fc) March 1, 2022 “A Tusker we do our work in silence and results are seen on the pitch. We will continue doing that and hopefully, we can be able to be champions again,” he said.Meanwhile, the burly forward is happy to have ended his goal drought after scoring against Sofapaka. Ibrahim had gone for a couple of matches without kissing the back of the net but lady luck visited him against the 2009 league champions where he headed home a cross from Shami Mwinyi.“For sure it has been a few games since I scored and I was working very hard to try and get back to finding the back of the net. I was really pleased to break my drought. It was a tough game but we worked as a team and everyone played their role,” he added.
