Kenya Police FC head coach Bobby Ogola has defended his goalkeeper Ruben Juma after his two howlers gifted Wazito three points on Saturday at the Nyayo National Stadium.Juma was at fault for two goals in the 3-2 defeat. He first failed to collect a Rooney Onyango freekick allowing John Kuol to score Wazito’s second.Wazito’s third was even worse as a feeble shot from Amos Ekhalie found a way through his hands into the back of the net.Police responded by taking him off at halftime for Job Ochieng who had a solid game and is likely to start against Tusker FC on Saturday.Asked whether the keeper has been making such errors, Ogola left to his defence describing him as a ‘first time offender’ who saved the team’s face in previous games.Next assignment Saturday.Tunapenda sherehe lakini mbona mtu atualike sherehe ndani ya kampuni ya vileo?🤔 what are the intentions?@kenyapolicefc@lindahoguttu@tusker_fc @748AirServices @Officialfkfpl #communitypolicingthroughsports#tuchezetujuane pic.twitter.com/Ne7K0KwtKW— KENYA POLICE FC (@kenyapolicefc) March 2, 2022 “He is a first-time offender, it was just unfortunate. He has saved us before, like in the last game against Kariobangi Sharks that we lost 1-0 it was supposed to be a 4-0 defeat,” he stated. He hopes that the custodian will learn from the mistakes he made going forward.”One has a bad day in office and that’s what happened to him and then he panicked in the game and it is up to him to pull the up, there’s nothing that I can do, it’s for him to know where the mistake was,” he added.Next for Police is an away match against in-form Tusker FC at the Ruaraka Grounds on Saturday. The match will kick-off at 3 PM.
