Borussia thinking about Chelsea’s flop as Haaland’s replacement

Whoever watched Borussia Dortmund’s games this season, no matter the competition (Bundesliga, DFB Pokal or the European competitions) could see one obvious thing – the Millionaires need a new defense. The number of goals they conceded, and especially the quality of the teams which managed to score against Dortmund is worrying. So far, they managed to obtain the services of Niklas Sule from rivals Bayern, but they will have to buy somewhere else. But, Borussia also needs to address the attacking position, as they are about to lose their best player, Erling Haaland.Borussia Dortmund are interested in Chelsea’s 25-year-old forward Timo Werner. Even thou he got much higher offers than Borussia’s, the young German prefers to move to Dortmund, since he knows he will be a starter for a club which plays in the Champions League regularly. But the problem is his club. Salzburg wants to earn on Adeyemi, as he is their best players, so they are looking at 5 billion Ksh, while Borussia wants to give around 3.7 billion.First Mbappe then Haaland – Real Madrid advise the Norwegian star to stay at Dortmund for one more yearAccording to Sky Germany, Borussia is thinking about an alternative, and it’s another German – Timo Werner. There are no ‘concrete’ negotiations for Werner as of now but the fact he fits the right profile of attacker needed in the sense of his pace and Bundesliga experience coupled with his agent’s great relationship with Borussia (he has the same agent as Niklas Sule) makes this transfer operation as possibility. However big problem remains: Werner’s value and his salary.A rare case of Bayern neglecting their own talent – Karim AdeyemiThe German is valued around 10 billion Ksh, and even thou Chelsea could settle up for less, it would certainly be more than 3.7, which is the amount the Millionaires don’t want to brake. There is a question of salary as well. Werner is on a 2 billion wage a year, and Borussia certainly can’t afford that. The only logical option would be a loan with obligation to buy, but only if Chelsea decides to do so, since they need Werner as a sub, and are not in a hurry to sell him.
