Five teams withdraw from 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup African Qualifiers

CECAFA members Eritrea and Djibouti, Namibia, Guinea-Bissau, and Sao-Tome have withdrawn their teams from the second round stage of the U-17 Women’s World Cup 2022 qualifiers set to kick start this weekend, with the return legs being played two weeks later.The five teams join Kenya in the list of countries that had qualified for the second round but will not play following the latter’s disqualification after FIFA suspended FKF last week.The Ethiopian U-17 women’s national team held their final training session today ahead of the 2022 FIFA U-17 women’s world cup qualifiers first leg match against Uganda on march 4.
