Wazito FC are looking for a second win in a row when they take on Kariobangi Sharks on Friday 4 March in a league match at the Kasarani Annex in Narobi. The Fred Ambani-led outfit defeated Kenya Police 3-2 on Saturday at Nyayo Stadium and they face a Sharks side that lost to Nzoia Sugar by a solitary goal a week ago in Thika. The two teams have had mixed fortunes this season. Wazito started the season slowly but they appear to be picking since Ambani took over, Sharks, on the other hand, have been largely impressive despite the massive walkout and signings that were witnessed at the club before the start of the current campaign, the youthful squad has exceeded the expectations of many this campaign.Coach Ambani and Eli Asieche speak ahead of tomorrow’s game against Kariobangi Sharks.#Wazito4life pic.twitter.com/NdCFKkAzAD— Wazito Football Club (@wazitofc) March 3, 2022 When the two teams met in the first leg, Eli Asieche’s goal was cancelled out by Fortune Omoto to ensure that the two teams shared a point apiece.Ahead of the match, Wazito will welcome midfielder Fidel Origa back after a one-match suspension. The midfielder missed the game against Kenya Police FC after accumulating five yellow cards and Ambani is elated to have him back. He added that his team has no fresh injury concerns.“We have not had any injuries in training this week thankfully. Also, Fidel Origa is back with the squad after serving his red card suspension. That is a big boost as we have all the players available for Sharks. I now have a healthy selection headache because I have a very good squad depth to work with. We trained well this week after our win in the last league fixture and I expect us to carry on with that form,” he told the club media on Friday.Kesho kazi.🤝 @Betway_KE#WeAreSharks #BetwaySharks pic.twitter.com/at0E8CnwnT— Kariobangi Sharks FC (@k_sharksfc) March 3, 2022 For Sharks, young attacker Mathew Kibiwott who made his second appearance of the season off the bench against Nzoia is eyeing more playtime. The youngster, who graduated from the Sharks’ youth team hopes to follow in the footsteps of Geoffrey Onyango and Isaac Wasambo who have now established themselves in the first team.“Going forward, if given a chance, I would like to help the team achieve a higher finish on the table than last season by scoring but much emphasis will be put in creating chances since I am always perched at the fulcrum to attack and hopefully I will also follow in the footsteps of Wasambo and Onyi,” he told the club’s official website. The match will kick-off at 3 PM.
