Top-of-the-table encounter at Allianz Arena saw FC Bayern and Bayer 04 Leverkusen draw 1-1 in an absolute thriller of a match. Even though you wouldn’t be able to tell by looking at the scoreline, the match was a blast and it’s somewhat of a shock that we didn’t get to see many more goals. The visitors just needed a bit more composure in the final third to turn some of their numerous chances into goals – but Julian Nagelsman and his players could say the same. In the end – it finished with both teams getting a point in this Bundesliga classic.Everything was great for Bayern until the 35th minute. The hosts took the game under their ‘wing’ and played as they wanted, created chances and scored pretty early. The goal was quite amateur for any team, yet alone Leverkusen. Kimmich’s corner kick was initially defended, but the ball just couldn’t come out of the penalty area and nobody cleared it until in the end, it didn’t ended up in the visitor’s net by Sule. And then everything changed with an equalizer. With Neuer still not 100% and Davis injured, reserve keeper Sven Ulreich and Omar Richards came in and did not do well. In fact, it was a misunderstanding between Ulreich and Thomas Muller which lead to an equalizer. Bayern captain obviously didn’t hear Ulreich shouting that he is on the ball, and tried to defend, but put the ball into the net instead. After that goal, everything changed for the Bavarians. They allowed three excellent chances to Bayer, who attacked mostly through the right side, where Adli used the inexperienced Richards to create chances. Upamecano also contributed with one big error, but luckily for Bayern, the result stayed the same. The second half started with a good Musiala shot after a pass from Gnabry, but Hradecky was on spot to save it. After such a high tempo, the game lost it’s intensity after that as both clubs slowed down and concentrated on making fewer mistakes. Bayern took complete control as the game went on but just couldn’t capitalize until the end.BUNDESLIGA – ROUND 25FridayArminia Bielefeld – Augsburg 0-1 (0-0)/Caligiuri 50/SaturdayBayern – Leverkusen 1-1 (1-1)/Sule 18 – Muller (og) 36/Bochum – Greuther Furth 2-1 (1-0)/Leitsch 35, Losilla 71 – Kotchap 64 og/Wolfsburg – Union Berlin 1-0/Awoniyi 24 og/RB Leipzig – Freiburg 1-1 (0-1)/Angelino 90 – Demirovic 38/Hertha – Eintr.Frankfurt 1-4 (0-1)/Selke 61 – Knauff 17, Tuta 48, Lindstrom 56, Borre 63/20:30: (3.05) Stuttgart (3.35) M’ gladbach (2.35)Sunday17:30: (3.35) Mainz (3.50) Dortmund (2.25)19:30: (2.80) Koln (3.50) Hoffenheim (2.60)**odds are subject to change
