The goal coming in Oburu’s only second game at the club and his first official start since completing his move to the Zambian giants back at the tail end of January.Zesco United coach explains why Oburu was handed a short-term dealHaving only been handed a short term six month contract by the reigning champions who said to be evaluating him, the player revealed what the goal meant to him and the importance it played in getting his stint underway at the club.“There was a lot pressure because it was my first game at home and a big game too. I am grateful to God that I scored, and I believed him to do the rest for me,” the player is quoted on the club’s website. In joining Zesco, Oburu was seen as the next player to try and fill the large boots left behind by his country mate Jesse Were who departed the club as the top scorer after five years of service. Oburu however refused to be compared to Were who is currently at opponents Kansanshi Dynamos.“Everyone is different, I am different from others who were once here. My path is also different. I am a firm believer in God, and I put him first in everything that I do. I will continue to work hard so that we can achieve more as a team,” he stated.
