Inside the ropes, Justin Thomas is the walking embodiment of what a modern professional golfer aspires to be. Sure, he’d like to make more putts, but the foundations of the 28-year-old’s game – power off the tee and accuracy with irons from the fairway – puts him in contention at plenty of events. Last year at the Players Championship, he shot 71-71-64-68 to claim the $2.7 million winner’s check.
From a golf equipment standpoint, Thomas has become one of the marque players in the Titleist stable, and one of the golfers that the company’s designers reach out to when they are creating the next generation of Titleist woods, irons, wedges and balls. He has even been influential in putters.
Golfweek talked with the people who help JT perform at his best to learn what equipment he uses and why.
